Foil Foam Sheet

An effective sound absorbent manufactured from crushed recycled foam. Used in applications such as the engine compartments of vessels and vehicles, compressors and aggregates.

  • Average sound reduction (30 mm thick layer) when attached on a 9 mm plywood or 6 mm glass fibre base: 29.3 dB(A).
  • Thermal conductivity (λ) 0,037 W/k.
  • Standard thicknesses 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 mm.
  • Sheets are available in all thicknesses at 1 mm intervals at request; minimum order amount 1.2 m3.
  • Volume weight 100 kg/m3.
  • Other volume weights available at request, minimum order amount 1.2 m3.
  • With or without a self-adhesive background.
  • The surface is a water-resistant metallised polyester film.
  • Delivered as sheets (maximum sheet sizes 2000 x 1000 mm and 2000 x 1200 mm) or cut to form.

Product requirements

The product meets the requirements of the recreational craft directive 94/25/EC and the requirements of EN ISO 9094-1:2003, RSD Guidelines, ISO 4589, ISO 3795 and FMVSS 302, meaning that the product is self-extinguishing. The product can therefore be used as sound insulation in vehicles and engine compartments of CE approved recreational crafts.
