Combining right materials for needed performance requirements
- Acoustic verification based on ISO10534 and ASTM E1050 for absorption coefficient and applied ASTM E2611 for insertion loss
- Analyzing customer’s existing sound data or examining noise source spectrum by sound analyzer
- Finding suitable materials considering moisture, heat, UV or wear resistance, fire safety and aesthetics
- Combining material layers to tailor optimal sound absorption or sound insulation in different frequency ranges
Prototyping
- Analyzing space and other constraints for materials in customer applications together with customer’s design department
- Optimizing insulation material shapes in CAD or with real-life 3D mock-ups to find the best fitting and enable efficient installation
- Optimizing production batch sizes and material nesting to guarantee the best efficiency and to minimize the production waste
