Not just another industrial subcontractor
We are a flexible and reliable partner. Our operations are based on close cooperation with the customer, and we always aim at finding the best cost-efficient solutions for each customer. We operate in numerous fields such as the manufacture of boats, special vehicles, sports equipment, footwear and machinery, as well as in the construction industry. Our main raw materials include polymers such as foamed plastic and films, as well as fabrics, synthetic leathers, wadding, heavy layers and rubber mats. Our versatile production equipment turn the raw materials into semi-finished components or completed products. Customer satisfaction is achieved by utilising various lamination techniques, thermoforming, high frequency (HF) welding and cutting equipment. Although our focus lies in industrial subcontracting, our products are also available to consumers through an extensive retailer network. We are constantly striving to develop our operations by investing in equipment and developing our business practices.
In 2018, DNV GL awarded us the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Certification, in 2019 ISO 14001 (Environment) and in 2020 ISO 45001 (Occupational health and safety management).
A leading sound insulation, lamination and forming specialist
The story of Meluton officially began in 1977. Old friends who had been selling vibrometer services as well as vibration and sound insulation solutions bought an old flame lamination machine and started to manufacture sound insulation materials, as such products were not at the time available in Finland. The manufacturing facilities were set up in a barn in Siuntio. Good relations with traditional European raw material suppliers were built in the early stages of business; the utilisation of international sources and sales channels is now deeply rooted into the Meluton corporate culture. Most of our products are exported directly or through mediators. Meluton quickly grew out of the barn in Siuntio, and moved to Juvanmalmi industrial area in Espoo in 1981. With new equipment investments and good customer relations, Meluton has become the leading supplier of sound insulation solutions, lamination and forming. In January 2008 the company moved into its new, up-to-date facilities in Åby, Vantaa.
